Hologram

This is my first hologram and I hope you like it. It is very easy to make one and looks great once it works - you just need to make a plastic pyramid. It gives more realism to objects than on the screen and looks like it exists in real life. Try to do it yourself as well.

Metallic Car Paint

Metallic paint shader
A new shader was just uploaded to my blog - the metallic paint. What is characteristic about metallic paints is that they reflect a lot of light, making cars look shiny. You can also see the objects that are being reflected on the paint. The first car I made using this shader was the Lamborghini Veneno, which you can see in the gallery. If you want to see how I made it, go to Blender Shaders page or click the picture on the left.

Lamborghini Veneno

Lamborghini Veneno is one of my favorite supercars. It is a great looking car with incredible performance. Its styling is extraordinary and unique, which makes it stand out from other cars. There are many interesting shapes and lines on its body and its definitely not a boring looking car. This is why it took me quite a lot of time to model one and I hope you like it. There are more pictures in Gallery -> Lamborghini Veneno.

Blender Cycles Render - How to remove "grains" in your scene

Cycles Render is a great set of tools, shaders and other features which, lets the user create very realistic models. However, many people face the problem of "grains" appearing on the screen, which negatively affects the final outcome. The scene doesn't look very nice and out of focus without much details. (See image below):

Fortunatelly, you can solve this problem very easily. Just follow these steps:
  1. In your properties box, click 'Render' (camera icon)
  2. Look for 'Sampling' and open it.
  3. On the right hand side, you will find a 'Previev' box. Set it with a larger value.

Remember that the bigger number you set, the longer it would take to load a scene. I set it to 1000, which is a lot, however enough to make the result look much better:

Manholes

I added new textures to my blog and they can be found in Textures -> Manholes page. These textures include manholes, drainages and other objects of this type. They might not be really necessary for making a videogame, however they can be used as a detail to make the environment look more realistic. For now there are only two of them, but I will add more eventually.

Zaspa Darisse

Zaspa Darisse is my own imaginary car and it doesn't exist in real life. It's a small two - door roadster. The car has slightly different styling than other cars of this type, such as the tail lights. It comes in glossy paint (see how to make it in Blender Shaders -> Glossy Car Paint). In my opinion, Zaspa is a bit weird looking, unusual car and this is why I like it. You can find more pictures of it in Gallery -> Zaspa Darisse.

Origami Tanks

I've always wondered how it's like to model origami in Blender. Therefore, I decided to make some and I managed to do a few origami tanks. I think they turned out pretty well and I hope you like them. Unfortunatelly, it was quite difficult to do them. Please, go to Gallery -> Origami Tanks.

Vegetation

Apart from man-made things, we also need to focus on our environment. This is why this time, I decided to make some textures of plants and vegetation. There are leaves, branches, lawns, etc. They might be very useful to create forests and parks on your computer. Please go to Textures -> Vegetation for more.

Doors

New texture category - doors. For now there are only few of them, however they might be quite useful for creating an environment for videogames, such as houses or other buildings. They include room and garage doors. If you're interested please go to: Textures -> Doors.
